Traffic lights to be installed!  DOT reports.

Department of Transportation Director Tom Derkin has told the Brick Times that the community campaign for traffic lights finally passed this week.  The community cited several severe auto accidents around town in the last few months in their attempts to win passage for their request.  There were some who were unhappy with the ruling.  George Thompson, owner of the local auto body shop, insisted he would now have trouble making ends meet.  ”I gut a kid at the local Universkity and twowithin to pay.  How will I make me moneys …

Brickland Air&Space to begin construction of space station

Arnold Plates, Director of Brickland Air&Space indicated today that the Brickland International Space Station construction has begun.  The first stage of construction will require two shuttle missions to establish the frame work for the modules.  The first shuttle mission is set for August 6, 2009.  Astronauts have been training at the Brickland Air&Space center for the last three weeks prepping for these missions. Plates states that 16 shuttle missions will be required to finish the space station.  Tentative completion date is January 2010.

Brickland Baseball Team Fundraising Bakesale

The Brickland Brinks baseball team is suffering their worst start of the season ever.  The team is currently 0-34 with no signs of any improvement.  The team has decided to hold a bake sale with the proceeds from the event being used to buy baseball bats.  It seems the pool sticks the players have been using since the start of the season, have failed to provide much run support.  Stay tuned for the Paypal link to allow you to donate money to the team to buy equipment.

Brickland Ambulance Severely Underpowered

Brickland Fire and Rescue last week showed off their new hybrid fleet of rescue trucks.  Unfortunately their attempts to go “green” has hit a snag.  The manufacturer of the rescue failed to realize the correct scale of the trucks and currently there is no place in town the rescues can recharge.  Fire chief Sparky Jones believes the situation will be resolved next week.
